Thai Original Curry Sauces
Here are the Thai Original Curry Sauces in Red, Yellow and Green styles.
They already contain coconut milk. Just add meat (or fish, or vegetables, or seafood).
These curry sauces are not too hot. For greater heat, just add a little chilli powder.
Red Curry Sauce
One of the major ingredients of Red Curry Sauce is dried red chillies, which are not as hot as fresh ones.
The paste, on which the sauce is based, contains typical Thai ingredients such as lemon grass, galangal, garlic and shallots.
Yellow Curry Sauce
From the south of Thailand, Yellow Curry Sauce is very different from the others. It contains spice powder as well as fresh herbs.
Cumin and turmeric give this sauce its distinctive flavour and colour.
Green Curry Sauce
Made with fresh herbs, including coriander roots and stalks, Green Curry Sauce is one of the most popular in Thailand.
Its heat comes from small green chillies, but they are used here in moderation.
