PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT

THAI ORIGINAL SAUCES TAKE 4 GREAT TASTE AWARDS

5 September 2004. The new range of Thai Original Sweet Chilli Sauces has taken four Great Taste Awards -- two Silver, two Bronze -- in this year's competition.

Thai Original Sweet Chilli Sauce with Lemon Grass was awarded Silver in the oriental sauce category. The Garlic version of the sauce took Silver in the vegetable-based dips category. Bronze medals were awarded to the Thai Original Ginger sauce in the vegetable chutney category and to the Coriander sauce in the Asian sauce category.

"It's great to get awards for four different products," said Oi Cheepchaiissara, product development director at Modern Thai Food. "Those four -- the Lemon Grass, Garlic, Coriander and Ginger sauces -- are probably our most popular, but many people prefer the other two. With both hot and mild sauces and a range of flavours we can appeal to most tastes."

Thai Original Sauces
Available in six flavours (Garlic, Lemon Grass, Ginger, Orange, Pineapple and Coriander), the Thai Original sauces are hugely popular at Farmers' Markets and local food fairs and are available at over 70 outlets in East Anglia, London and parts of the South-East.

Thai Original Sauces are developed and manufactured by Modern Thai Food at Otley College Foodskills Centre, near Ipswich, in Suffolk.
